Excellent radio with two common faults
Great sounding radio in a small elegant package. Easy to set up and use, all in all, very desirable..
However it has two problems,
One is that it can be damaged easily and seriously by using an power adapter with an output more than 5.5 volts. There is no overvoltage protection and the main Kino 4 chip is normally damaged which I cannot fond a source for.
The second is that there seems to be a problem with the headphone socket and/or associated components that can cause the radio to mute itself at random or that inserting headphones does not mute the radio.
A muted radio can be normally be corrected by unplugging the wider white connector from the Aux/Headphone socket board to the main board. Of course then Aux in and Headphones will not work..
