Good spot weld cutter
Well designed tip so doesn't wander off the spot weld and cuts well but like all spot weld drills, require regular sharpening. Cobalt M35 isn't hard enough for hydrogen embrittled spot welds Need a sold carbide one for heavy use!

Great idea in theory.
Unfortunately the 8mms drill bit shattered on the second spot weld . I think it works fine on a flat clean spot weld but it snags on any raised edges on an imperfect one and the leverage developed at the tip as it turns is the reason the hardened tip shatters . Obviously a spot weld has the effect of hardening the the immediate area due to the heat ,making drilling problematic .
