Humax Remote Control is very good
The Humax Remote control is very good as I originally had one and then went the original one didn't work it was too expensive to replace it. So I bought a cheaper version which was awful. Buttons were too hard to press. So this one is an original. The only thing that has happened is that three times, the whole thing freezes and I have to re-boot by turning off at the wall and turning back on again. When I do this, I also have to press record for the programmes that were recording at the time. Hopefully this will not happen often.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good but not perfect.
I bought this to replace a remote where some of the buttons had stopped working. The new one worked well for a few days and then some of its buttons stopped working. replacement remote for humax
I looked at many remotes as a replacement for one that had worn out the important buttons. apart from the large range of prices many needed to be programmed to suit the equipment. however this much cheaper one was preprogrammed for the humax recorder so it was a total replacement and was used straight of the box. as it was for a 91 year old neighbour complications was not an option. this was a great buy at 8.50 pounds.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The two categories - YES/ NO are restricting in giving a more comment specific answer. Size is good to enable buttons to be seen easily. WORDS/ICONS UNDERNEATH 9 BOTTOM BUTTONS NEED TO BE CLARIFIED FOR LESS LITERATE COMPUTER USERS. Buttons could be made of some plastic material instead of rubber. RATING - The jump from 'Better than expected' to 'Amazing' is too wide a gap. Would inhibit some from using superlative. 'Very good' more appropriate.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Original Humax control replacement
I am very pleased with my original replacement control. I thought I might have to get help with resetting it but 'NO' it worked immediately with my Humax box just as my old control did and is identical in every way. Failed after 2 hours.
Only worked for 2 hours. Had to return for a refund. This model was not programmable. Some of the buttons, especially the central control pad, were prone to stick down. Had this worked it would have been a brilliant replacement for the original, as it stands, I had to pay out for a new Humax one which cost over £30.
