Genuine DeWalt circular saw a lot cheaper than local store
It has all the features you'd expect from a good circular saw. Can cut in an angle, or make shallow cuts. If you leave the cut depth screw loose, you can make straight drop cuts pretty easily. The model I received is an upgraded variant; 5500 rpm vs 3700 rpm. 760 watt vs 460 watt motor. Box says DCS391 Type 10 There's so much paint on the blade, that when it melts on the first few cuts, it becomes sticky causing the blade to lock up. I recommend cutting some junk pieces up first to wear the paint down. The included box felt enormous, but only just fits the saw, my screwdriver, 2 batteries and a charger, with some corners to shove bit sets into.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent product and even more useful than I expected.
I already have a tool with compatible batteries so made sense to stick to a theme and reduce the number and variations of batteries. Works well, slicing through 2" joist easily, and ripping strips of as required. Bought this to save the hassle of using my old mains powered B&D and it's done the job brilliantly. Very capable saw
Really happy with my purchase, this is an excellent saw and complements my other 18V XR tools. I'm using 5aH batteries, i think it would exhaust lower amp batteries very quickly as its pretty thirsty! Easy to use and lightweight, very nice quality feel. Outstanduing value
Bought this Circular Saw to replace a Bosch mains powered unit that finally bit the dust; the freedom of having no cable either in the way or restricting you on long cuts is awesome. This new DeWalt unit is lightweight, has superb build quality and is simply a pleasure to use. There is no kick when it starts (seems to have a counterbalance), and it has a blade brake, so the second you release the trigger, the blade stops dead. Powerful without the trailing flex.
If like me you find the trailing flex a real pain when using a circular saw then this I can't recommend this cordless saw enough. It does all you'd expect of a top quality saw from DeWalt. I bought it to fit out a camper van at a place without any mains electricity supply and it was money well spent.
