    Amazing Value and it works

I bought not sure what to expect for £11.50 I have tested the gauge for accuracy it is within tolerance The adapters are a good range For the occasional use this is ideal to diagnose/test any type of petrol engine Car, M/cycle, Lawn mower, Stationery engine, various types of plant equipment,

  • Most critical review

I would have awarded 4 star & good quality but for what happened in my review.

First impression was very good, for the price the quality looks amazing even the carry case. BUT....I very narrowly escaped a seized up engine !!!! I used the 12mm adapter on my inline 4 cylinder 1200cc bike. I started on cylinder No'1 & when removing the hose the adapter stayed behind in the spark plug hole. When I looked down to see it I saw what turned out to be the tail end of the adapters female thread (see photos). Thinking it was Brass (none magnetic) I tried to grab it with tweezers but it dropped into the cylinder ! (a) Thank God I was on an outer cylinder & saw it & also that it hadn't dropped straight through in the !st place meaning I wouldn't have known it was there ! (b) Thank God the adapters aren't Brass they are steel, I managed to retrieve the object with a magnet. What happened could so easily have been a seized engine which is unthinkable work, cost & potentially a fatality !!!!

  • Does it’s job well

Got this because couldn’t find why my car was missing. After taking some advice realising my next task was to do a compression test and unfortunately my car can’t be taken to mechanic yard and too expensive for callout,, I opted for this cheap version and done it myself:) ‘‘twas immediately revealed that my car has only compression in 2 cylinders out of 6! Now I know I’ve to take the cylinder heads off to see what internal damage is done! Brilliant little tool that saved me a few quid and has left me a nitemare job to tackle 😏 Recommended by me 100%

  • Good value compression tester

There are a number of these cheap compression testers available on e-bay and this one compares favourably with the Silverline 5 piece tester I tried (and was subsequently refunded). The coupling between the gauge and pipe is a good tight fit with no leaks, the gauge is rubber mounted and the brass fittings have good threads. The only observation I’d make is that the threaded parts are all short reach whereas the plugs on my bike are long reach. No big deal provided you tighten them by hand only, they seal well, no need to wrench on them. All of these will vary in accuracy but from previous experience with a Gunson device on my bike this seems to give readings in the same ball park. Very pleased with it.

  • Good for the money

Okay it’s not snapon or Mac tool, or even sealey or draper but the draper one is £60 and it’s almost identical so what does that tell you??. Considering it’s a tool which you’re not going to use every day then it’s a no brainier, if you build engines every day or work in a performance place, where you need it to be ultra precise and up for everyday use buy Snapon but it’s perfect for a standard garage or DIY guy👍👍 Ps. I’ve given it 4 stars purely because it’s not Snapon and you get the guarantee and support, but then it’s 5x more money so it’s down to personal preference I reckon 😎

  • Value but as with all gage sets only the metal connection pipes give a true reading

Great value. Watch out as with all flexible tube connections the reading will be low, only the solid metal tubes will give correct reading same as all gauge sets of this ilk but value is good.

  • Great product

I could not believe how good the quality was especially for the price. It covers all the required sizes of plug as well as the push seal connectors. I had previously borrowed a set by a well known tool company and it seems identical.

  • Does not compress your wallet.

Really good value for just over £10, similar or the same as advertised on other sites for £35. So very pleased with performance as have already used it to check my classic car engine. Would use this site again.

  • Great kit, shame the gauge is no where near accurate.

Good comprehensive kit, works well but the gauge display seemed to be under reading by around 20 psi. Not a major problem for my use as on multi cylinder engines comparison between cylinders is more important than actual psi. For the cost it is amazing value, but it would be no use on my single cylinder motorcycle.
