I will test these when I next go fishing which will not be until early next year. Have tried them with battery fitted and all seems ok. Nice blue backlight. Case is VERY small and cannot be fitted without a major struggle. Pity this lets the item down and should be improved. Not fully waterproof!!!
The case is a bit of a cop out. £6 extra for an elasticated case that is too tight to fit round the scales, not a very good design to keep the scales free from damage. The scales are ok and do there job with a good clear screen, but i'm a little worried about the battery case, this area isn't sealed so it can't be waterproof. I ordered these scales after reading all the positive reviews. I have used them on the bank a few times now and have checked their consistency. They are bang on. My fishing often involves a lot of walking and the scales are really light.
