Weird in a disappointing way
A really intriguing premise, I love post apocalyptic dystopian worlds! The book had potential but found itself going down wormholes of zero interest - such as the authors clearly self portrait of a struggling comic book artist/non-author was just plain weird. If only there had been more character interaction and storytelling this book could have been a great. An exciting, compelling read with a complex structure

The book does not live up to the hype it generated by the critics. It is a middling read with long passages of filler which are NOT relevant to the plot (if you can call it a plot).
