One of the best thrillers I have ever read. Very realistic and topical. Was hoping for a new book from author and whilst promised the launch day keeps on being putting back and recently announced by Amazon that not now becoming available until October 2024!! despite taking pre orders. Read this book a few years ago , re bought it after lending it out & it’s a fantastic read that stands reading again & again. Certainly won’t be lending this copy out! John Crace in The Guardian said he was a terrific thriller writer so i ordered this and he was right - it is long, complicated and very unpleasant and - nasty things happen but it was one of those once started you have to finish books. One of the best books you will ever read..............
After reading it I gave it to my son. He thought it the best book he had ever read. It got to the point where he didn't want to carry on reading it because he would finish it. I read it a second time and knew exactly what he meant. I have lent it to friends with strict instructions to give it back when they have finished it.
