    My new kindle

I'm thrilled with my new kindle The only thing I can criticise is that because it's a touch screen it's easy to touch it by mistake and find you've gone back a few pages or brought up other things you done want. It's very sensitive making it easy to do. I keep inadvertently changing the size of the type. The reason for these problems is that there is not enough border around the screen which makes it easy to touch it by mistake. It's a shame and quite frustrating. But I still love it. It's so different to my old Kindle. Very modern! Maybe I will learn how not to touch the screen by mistake

    Good . . . But . .

A decent upgrade from my original very early Kindle but the bezel page turn touch zones are temperamental, sometimes turning back three pages, and I would have preferred the original buttons. Also, the slight ‘cheese wedge’ shape means the cover / case does not fold back flat. I can’t find the right balance of font type and size, but that is a personal preference rather than a fault.

  • Awesome reader

I've had my old Kindle 5th gen (non touch) since it came out and absolutely loved it. I travel a lot and read a lot, carrying around books is just not an option. Some time around Christmas, I thought it was time to get something new. Especially, I wanted something that would allow me to read PDFs easily. I have a lot of medical books, which I wanted to be able to consult at convenience, not having to carry around a tablet in addition to the ereader. And this reader really does it. It's super easy to zoom into PDFs with the fantastic touch screen. Battery is still exceptionally long and I love the feel and look of the Voyage. Also the built in light is a brilliant feature, saves me from carrying around an extra little lamp and flashing it into my loved ones eyes when reading in bed. Yes, it is a bit on the expensive side, but, if the built quality is anything compared to the older Kindles, I do think, that it will be with me for many years to come.

  • A Good Upgrade

I purchased the Amazon Voyage with the intention of replacing my Paper White. The Voyage is physically smaller and lighter than the PW. But they both have the same sized e ink screen. Same resolution too. What I prefer about the Voyage is that it has Haptic feedback buttons on either side of the screen to control forward and back page turns. You can also swipe across the screen to turn the page. Exactly the same as the PW. I also find that the responses to input are slightly faster on the Voyage compared to the PW. Is there anything I don' t like? Yes there is. The Voyage uses the same filing system to store your books as the PW and I find it clunky and time consuming. Especially when you are trying to sort and catalogue 3000 books! Also it is a real pain transferring books that you didn't purchase from Amazon from one to the other or to the Reading Apps on your PC or MAC. Still that aside, I am very happy with both the Voyage and PW. Thank you Amazon

  • Amazon Kindle Voyage- Truly recommend it

This is my first e-reader and i couldn't decide for long time if it's worth it over books and which one. The price was expensive for me at the time and I watched reviews of different readers and went with the voyage and second hand on ebay. I am truly surprised every time I use it (almost every day), the ease of reading, the different lighting options, battery life is very long (weeks of 1 charge), translation, Wikipedia, shows how long is left based on your pace etc. There are countless options to adjust it exactly for each person, it's absolutely wonderful machine, I truly admire amazon for creating such a helpful gadget. Besides if you never used one rest assured that the ink is as good if not a lot better and sharper than a book.

  • why go 2nd hand

This is my favourite kindle. Paperback size, with back light, light weight and has bot wifi and 3g.The advangte it has is the page turning buttons so less finger prints on the screen and less activating the other functions. Downside the off button was moved from the bottom edge to the backside major issue amazon stopped making it, to make the oasis so there is limited avilabilty

  • Great E-book reader

Bought to replace my old original Kindle which has given great service but is now tired. Features take a little time to get used to but much more slick than the old model. Only drawback is that because it has been discontinued there are not many cases about.

  • It is so easy to load books on to this model.

It is so easy to load books on to this model. I don't seem to be able to access the dictionary so easily whilst reading a book, but that is probably me being thick, it was easier on my old kindle. The screen is good to read from. Battery life seems to be about the same as my old model. The differences between my old kindle and this one I would say is not value for money, if the older version is working fine then stick with it until you need A new one.

  • Kindle Voyage

This would be the best kindle so far if it had the features of the Kindle 3 (Mp3 player and text to speech) but sadly is just a ebook reader with experimental web browser. It has got a adaptive internal light and touch screen and the kindle 3 type side buttons for turning pages.

  • Kindle Voyager

The Kindle Voyager is very lightweight and handy. I really like the ability to share books with my spouse who has also got her own Kindle. I think that bringing up the toolbar on top of the page is a bit tricky and hard to get used to.
