Skip the inkjet
I had been putting off doing a couple of tasks which is unusual so I asked myself why. The answer was that I was not looking toward dealing with my very old laser jet printer. After a couple more days of procrastination I asked myself what a new laser printer would cost. After that pleasant shock, I wondered what a color laser would cost and found I could get the same quality in the new class of led page printers. And the price was about half what I was expecting to pay for mono laser printer! I choose the dell for its modest size and descent specs. This is my personal printer plus I do some volunteer work that I like to be able to do some printing for as well. I wanted a modest cost, reasonable cost per page and don't need to print a lot or need a super fast printer. The price was quite good and dell as pushed the cost to a reasonable point. I can print reasonable quality color which should be fun and may help out on school papers. It took a but of fussing to get the software to load on my Win 7 machine but once it did the operation is smooth and simple. I am pleased with the quality and price so I think this printer is an excellent value for my needs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Expected for used printer with 12000+ prints
The product arrived with only paper around it for packaging. I had to assemble the doors that fell off in shipping. It makes a loud squeaking noise while printing. I had to set it up for Black and White only because it arrived with the magenta showing out. There was a ton of residue around the cartridges. Good printer for the price
The C1760nw produces a good quality print. It is not a top of the line printer, but is great for everyday use. My only problem in setting it up was entering the wifi SSID and password. I didn't want to run a cable for it until later, so I went with the wifi option. You have to cycle through all the letters, numbers, and symbols until you find the one you want. It took me close to 20 minutes to get that all entered in, though part of it was me pushing the check mark button prematurely several times and having to start over. Once the information was entered, I was printing in about 5 minutes. I'd recommend using a cable to connect the printer if you're in a hurry to use it. Good value for at-home general use
You're getting what you pay for with this printer--its affordable, but doesn't do double sided print jobs, and isn't the fastest machine out there. As a grad student, I've found this is great for home use for regular text documents. Connections are USB, Wireless or LAN. In a home network group only one connection is allowed. My laptop is wireless, so to print from other computers in the network that are connected by LAN or USB, they had to be converted to wireless for a connection to print. I love this printer
I had a Kodak AIO ink jet printer. It used ink even if I wasn't using it. Turns out that inkjets waste a lot of ink cleaning the print head. This DELL color laser doesn't waste any toner. It gives photo quality glossy prints on standard plain paper. Also, with this Dell color laser my printing cost is half. Great color laser printer at a great price
I'me very happy with the ease of setup and print quality of this printer. My only disappointment was printing to heavier paper stock. It took many tries and even then it was problematic if it would print on the heavier card stock paper. I don't often have to do this but it would be really nice to be able to. Cheap and Cheerful if you have setup help
Very good price. Good print quality. Quiet for a color printer. Consumables inexpensive. Would not setup on windows 10 with the disc that comes with it. I had to have my computer guru friend get on the phone and use team viewer to get it to work. After that it was fine. Great product! It's a DELL.
You can't beat the price for a color laser printer. If you need speed, this is If speed is important to you, this is not the product for you, but if you aren't in a hurry, you can't beat it. It produces a page at about the same speed as most ink jet printers (I didn't use a stopwatch to time it) without the trouble with ink cartridges that dry up if you don't use them regularly.
