Fragile, easy broken
I’m sick off buying these adapters to be honest, I’ve been through 3 off them in 2 months! All I do is use it daily for my headphones off choice I’ve never mistreated the adapters they are generally just made to not last! All I do is put my phone in my pocket and the adapter just hangs there with a slight bend... I don’t even really understand how they break because when buying a replacement the bloody thing is packaged with a BEND! Apple really need to fix these stupid things. But then again I doubt they will because they know exactly what they are doing making them to break easily so people either go out and buy a replacement adapter or go wireless with there headphones. Why even take the headphone jack away from the IPhones in the first place there is still so many people who use it. 😫Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Poor quality
I bought this after deciding that the official apple product would surely be the best to use with my Apple phone. Well after 3 days I was buying a different brand at 3x the price. The problem was I dropped the cable onto a carpeted floor, this caused the left earpiece to stop working. I thought it may have been the earphones but no, it was the adapter cable. Then a day later the cable gave up the ghost completely and no sound was produced. Another issue was that I had to ‘ connect ‘ to my earphones even though they’re not wireless. There was also a lot of background noise whist using the cable and the sound quality was very poor. If you’re thinking of buying this then I’d re-consider and buy a different brand. I went with ugreen; no background noise or ‘ connecting’ to the earphones, very robust build quality and really good sound, it actually makes the music sound better. So, don’t bother with the Apple product, you’ll only be disappointed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not that genuine
Whilst this product may be genuine, I dispute that. It doesn’t work with IRig. I wanted one for recording via my phone. I tried the item on a new iPhone SE and iPhone 7 but with no success. In the end I purchased one from Apple direct for £9.00 and it works perfectly. If you are going to need the adapter for recording.........Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

ASSESSMENT OF ADAPTOR
Neat and useful device to enable connection if your favourite headphones, with a 3.5mm stereo jack-plug to iPhone 7 Plus lightning connector at the base of the phone. Works well with my Roland RH50 High Definition and BOSE Headphones. Keeps the original frequencies intact. Just one more thing to go wrong, but it you need it if you have an iPhone 7 or higher? In saying that the old Jack-Plug cannot be made waterproof, so its not just Apple just creating extra accessories to make even more money. Dont believe these to be a Genuine Apple product
I bought one previously from Argos that works perfectly but decided I needed a few more to stop me forgetting to lift my earphones for my phone. The two I bought from E-bay are slight different to the Argos design in terms of the thickness and length of Cable which tells me they are not the same product although they have the same product number on them. They work where you can listen to music on the iPhone XS however when the connection is moving there is interference in the sound and you cannot skip, pause music or answer the phone.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
