The greatest I have ever used.
This item doesn't receive the accolades that it should - Barge is the suburb mending agent. It covers large areas with a generous brush dip into its quasi-liquid elements. Using the gluing agent with smaller applicators, as tooth-picks, are excellent for detail work. The fluidity of the glue would require it and the work to be in close proximity to deter spillage, clean-up, and waste of this product. Contact Cement, Good Stuff!
I have some craft projects which I had used this on and works great especially on foam. The adhesive works well after a few minutes once the contact cement becomes tacky. I recommend using small amounts at a time, this stuff can get a bit messy. Enjoy!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Stuff !
I had a few Zenith radios with leather-covered back panels and the leather hinge was failing on them. I used "Tenacious Tape" for the inside repair fix to re-attach the rear panels and the Barge contact cement to mend the torn leather back in place. This repair was very flexible with no stiffness when opening the repaired rear panel on the Zenith radios. It's contact cement so you have to let it setup, then press together and preferably clamp in place for awhile. I was really impressed with how well the repair task turned out. Thank heavens for barge
In Cleveland, Ohio I was a foot specialist and surgeon for 35 years and used barge almost every day for working with leather insoles and as well as any other materials that required a good adhesive.I also used it with orthotics and whatever else needed a good adhesive (including wood in my home). I valued barge very much over the years and I consider it as good as any of he adhesives that the shoe repairmen use. I retired in 2003 and moved to Miami and on several occasions I needed barge but since I didn't have any I tried something else without the same quality as Barge. Best glue for pool table rubber
For putting new rubber on a pool table, this is absolutely the best glue. Not only does it bond very well and last a long time, but also at the end of life of the rubber this glue will release from the wood without ruining it unlike other contact cement on the market. Buy it, repair your own shoes, and save a lot of money
I tried many glues to repair the shoes on my sneakers and shoes. Nothing works like this. This is what the repair people buy. They will charge you $30 - $40 to glue a pair of shoes, when you can do many shoes for a fraction of the cost buying this.
