Kingston Canvas Select Plus 128GB Micro SD. This is the ULTRA RARE Sony HDR-AS20 Action Cam which has been used but well look after so is still in Very Good condition! Sony HDR-AS20 Action Cam. Micro USB Cable: For charging and data transfer.
This is a very lightweight camera that is good on its own but needs the skeleton case to be able to use it fully. Also advise using the separate wrist monitor as it has no inbuilt monitor. Works well also using an Iphone as the monitor. As usual with these type of cameras it uses a fish eye view which isnt the best type of video but this can be correct with Pro dad Defishr. A costly program but allows one to alter the output into a normal flat video. Battery spares are easily obtainable.
Although this item was marked as reconditioned, apart from the obvious sticker to the box and a bit of clear sellotape on the packaging, all seemed ok.
Opening the box revealed a nice unit, no scratches but the lens needed cleaning due to fingertips touching it prior to arrival.
All original parts, manuals and bits were included in the original packaging so very pleased.
During the week I had been messaging the seller prior to purchasing as I was dubious of buying a reconditioned item, however I was pleasantly surprised at how quick and helpful staff were and I can highly recommend this product and seller.
I'd give the quality of videos a 8 out of 10 for indoors use but that's probably down to poor lights and me not setting it up correctly.
My advice would be to buy a genuine micro sd card as you can't film or take photos without one, however as it didn't come with one I had one in my mobile phone so I could try the product out.
You need to charge from a laptop not the wall, which is a bit of a pain, but let it charge until the little orange light goes out under the flap, which is about 4 hours to fully charge.
I got this after watching several videos online with various video settings used. I loved the slow motion settings in these videos. after using the camera for a good few week now I can honestly say this camera is much better than its price tag suggests. I have used it for filming roads, mountains,my band gigs and theme parks. all in various lighting situations. The sony software is ok but not brilliant, I use iMovie to do all my video's on the mac. I recently recorded a full 3hour gig with my band and wasn't hopeful regarding audio quality as we can be very loud, but the camera not only coped well but sounded really good giving me very usable audio with the video.
I only use the camera with the anti shake function so the classic fish eye issues people have with this doesn't really affect me too much but in full setting without the anti shake it is pretty bad.
I mostly film in 1080/60 which has worked brilliantly in most situations but in a dark venue with the band 720/30 was used, this setting was recommended online for darker areas and I have to say it worked a treat.
I have used it underwater once and the video was pretty decent but I hadn't changed the settings for underwater use so it would have been better but I changed the colour settings in post which sorted it out.
at 1/2 the price of equivalent gopro I would definitely go for the sony again.
