Blackberry Passport Silver Edition
While this will never be appealing to everyone (especially those who use video a lot), it is a superbly made smartphone which is quite brilliant in its ease of use and functionality. Especially good is the keyboard and general typing experience, which makes emails and other communications perhaps no faster, but certainly more accurate. The controversial square screen may not be best for video, etc, but is outstanding for internet purposes where its width is a real boon. In conjunction with the way that the keypad doubles as a trackpad web pages are easy to navigate without touching the screen. Being a Blackberry it comes with their brilliant Hub, revealing messages of all kinds in a single, easily organised, place - as it does with their Documents to Go, meaning full access and use of Word, Excel and Powerpoint at your fingertips. Clearly this is niche market smartphone aimed primarily at business and communications rather than gaming. But I have had no issues thus far downloading and using apps from Amazon (as well as Blackberry) which is an important bonus compared with earlier Blackberrys. To all this might be added, that it has an exceptionally good battery life, terrific sound from its inbuilt speakers in such a solid frame, and last, but not least, it works extremely well ... as a phone for making and receiving calls of great clarity! forVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Brilliant phone but only had it a couple of days
It was difficult to answer the battery length as I have only had it for a couple of days and I have used it quite a lot in two days and I fully charged it and had to charge it today. I think it is good. The only thing I don't like is the keyboard as you have to press quite hard and lucky I have nails to do this by. It would have had five stars if the keyboard was easier to use. It is Not Fashionable
Thank heavens for that! If you want to use a phone as a tool: phoning, emails, texts, and web browsing. In other words as a tool, this phone is outstanding. I have come under a surprising amount of pressure to conform and have one of the usual 'clonephones' They seem genuniely upset that I am not conforming. It's almost political. great business phone in every way
Before I recommend this phone I have to say that I'm in business and don't have time for facebook or app mac' n cheese. I bought this phone to replace another that was damaged. I use it and find that I can communicate effectively through the keyboard and excellent hands free facility. the apo's are sufficient for general use but, be aware; app's are limited. The phone is huge, compared to those on the market at the moment. and the blackberry name isn't as trendy as it was even blackberry have abandoned some services. I ordered this phone as a replacement to the Samsung Galaxy S6 and I have not regretted it one bit! The phone is solid with a bright, large screen which makes using it a pleasure. The keyboard is responsive and the ability to scroll up and down while stroking the keyboard is great as you never cover the information your reading. Moreover, the sound quality, especially while using the speakerphone is excellent. The BB10 OS is not a toy and very powerful. Blackberry Hub is a great way the check emails and various notifications at one place. I installed Google Play and most Android apps work well. Easy to see, easy to use
Eventually gave in to family pressure to have a mobile so looked around and had a try of the families iPhone 6 & 7 which are great but I wanted to be able to view without my glasses, hence going for the bigger screen of the blackberry passport. Great running with Play Store
So after an hour or so of playing around i got the Google Play store to work so effectively i now have an Android phone. It takes a while to get used to but people say 'what is that' its different and deserves a chance. The battery lasts for days on end. And the call quality is amazing...
