Small, Lightweight and Easy to use
Ideal phone if your not into running your life via a brick sized unit that you need two hands to operate. Just put it in your pocket or bag and you can keep in touch, do a bit of web browsing and pay a bill hear and there. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is the last model you can pop the back off to put in your Sim's, an SD card and swap a battery if you need to. Good value, nice phone but major issue with battery life.
Nice handy size. Not all the bells and whistles regarding apps but good enough for me. Possibly not excellent but reasonable condition for the economy price. Big problem is with the battery life, not good , in fact currently the battery will not last the day, even with low usage. Have now deleted all but essential apps and will monitor results. At only £5, thought it worth speculating on a new battery which should arrive in a few days and will hopefully improve things. If these steps fail to provide an improved battery life, then I fear, a return of the phone is the only real option. Good phone, long battery life.
This was the perfect phone for my 82 year old mother! She's previously had a popular make aimed at the older generation and it was useless to say the least! It was so complicated to use so I bought this S5 instead. Within a few minutes she'd worked out how to make a call and a few more minutes to figure out texting. This phone is very intuitive, it must be as she was able to use it so quickly without instructions. The size and weight are good - not too big. Battery life is good, she was playing with it for most of the day and only used 50% of the battery. Under normal usage it uses about 25% per day. Poor quality
Something is wrong with Android OS. One for two-three days phone freeze that you can't turn it on, even when the battery is full. Only one way is to restart with power+home+vol- Then you have to again put passwords for WiFis. Sometimes may freeze at night when you will be waiting for alarm to wake up... and nothing! Great phone with good features
This phone is great - this is my 4th Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini and I will probably continue to buy this phone as long as I possibly can ... my motto: if it's not broke, why fix it?! I know there are better looking phones on the market but this phone does everything I want ... and more! The only "downside" I can think of is the battery life is not as long as others - that said, I do use my phone for car navigation etc. so that in itself drains the batter. Funsized Samsung!
Older Galaxy, but works for the simpler things.It did slow way down when I updated Andriod, so I'd say don't bother updating. I just did a factory reset and it was up to speed again. (Samsung say they don't slow down older phones through updates, but you can tell the difference.)
