Just the job
By no means the latest of smart phones but if you're looking for an economically priced compact and functional phone this may be just what you're looking for. I wanted one that would fit into a shirt pocket along with my wallet and this does. It's sufficiently compact and slim line to operate most functions with one hand. It is perfectly adequate for making and receiving calls and texts, which is what I primarily use it for. The camera and the video are perfectly adequate too. It's a Windows phone and so if you have a Windows PC, it will synchronise so you can, for example, access your Outlook account if you use it. It also means you can see anything that you have stored in One Drive on the PC including photos. If you don't want this to happen, you'll need to store them elsewhere on the PC as you cannot do it directly from the phone. Nor can you remove the One Drive app to prevent this happening. No obvious issues with accessing the internet - it seems to respond quickly. As regards battery life, it seems fine to me but as I mainly use it for texting plus the odd call, it only needs charging every couple of days. That may not be the case if you're a more heavy user or one into playing games or music.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good features, easy to interpret.
I am not an IT guru and want something simple and easy to use and this phone is it. It has all the features I want as well as Cortana, so if I don't know something I can ask that feature. Upgrade.
The Nokia Lumia 530 was an upgrade for me from the Nokia 2330 which is a very basic handset. I am no techno wizard but this phone caters for my needs adequately. It is simple to use once you get used to the menu's and has a two day battery life. Just bought it for the casing and battery.
