Fine if you are technically savvy
Hesitated over the 'easy to use' question because once you kn ow what to do it is OK. However we put it in our holiday let and so far three out of four holidaymakers have had problems. Maybe it's because they have all been 'more mature', or maybe they don't read the instructions and/or the typed out summary that we provided, but they have managed to lose the satellite connection or been unable to work out how to get a full screen picture. There is a button along the top of the remote labelled TV which totally disables the box - probably obvious to most youngsters of about 6 and under, but neither we nor the last clients spotted that they had pressed it and we were very close to returning g the box as useless until a much younger person discovered the problem. Humax the terrible
Bought a Humax box as my old grundig (that was free as i could not recieve a digital signal) went awol . Humax box was difficult to set up, the helpline people were patronising to say the least and when we finally got it working GOD give me my old Grundig back, the programme information unless viewed on a 42" screen or larger is unreadable, there is far too much useless information and not enough usefull, there is no programme swap button so you need to have the light on to surf channels do i need to go on?Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Good little freesat box
Easy to set up and navigate the TV Guide. Haven't used all the features yet (such as catch up TV). It would perhaps be helpful to have a function that would allow you to quickly jump back to a channel previously viewed without having to go through the whole list. Great Freesat box
Very easy to use and set up. Clear channels. Lots in HD. Like that you can choose program type within TV guide. Also i use a hard drive plugged into the rear usb socket. Some people have had issues getting either the hdd or flash drive working. I used an old hdd out of a Youview box then formatted it using the humax own system. Great little package
What can I say, worked right out of the box, plug and play in the true sense of the words. Remote was easy to set up and easy to use. A cheap way to watch and record Freesat programmes especially if you buy one second hand
Excellent Freesat Box. Brilliant picture especially on a 4K TV. The plus point is for as little as around £40 you can add a Seagate 1 TN or 500GB external drive and record just one programme at a time. Plug in an Ethernet cable and you can also watch On Demand from numerous apps. Get the Freesat App and you can set your timer recordings from your tablet which will be set on the box within 30 minutes. If you have an Android phone can set timer recording while on the move. Review what is recorded and and what is planned. Even search on the App for programmes you would like to record.
