  • A great way to get the basics of economics

I like the style of the writing and the content is made accessible and entertaining. The sections of the book are organised in a sensible and logical fashion, making it easy to grasp the 'big picture' before taking on more detail. My confidence has grown as I have read the book - not often the case with topics that are more technical! I expect to keep this book to hand for years to come, dipping into it as needed. It has even encouraged me to do some further reading on economics. Lastly, I am not strong with abstract mathematical concepts, but the maths in this book is kept to the essentials and is practical in nature. If you are looking for a first book on economics, this is a very good place to start.
