Inexpensive low use slide viewer
Looking at previous reviews I was not confident on what the viewer would be like. It is however perfectly fine for the odd look at a slide to remind you what its of. The quality reflects the very cheap price charged for this viewer and where they are made (China). The magnification is not great and the back lighting likewise but it is functional. Would not recommend it for heavy continual viewing as I do not think it will stand up to that for long. For the money you get what you can expect.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

hama handheld slide viewer. Great for quick sorting of slides
My parents were obsessed with taking transparencies all of which I kept in my attic following their death. The viewer did exactly what I wanted, a means to quickly decide which slides to discard. It is not the most perfect way to view slides, the definition is not great and one needs to view from a slight angle for good pictures. Too Small for purpose
Difficult to place in the 35 ml snap have to press very hard - had to take it to bits to pull up the contacts .It works now but not all that good for the viewing as too small & more or less not quite powerful enough to view well . Its ok but not as good as I thought it would be !! In fairness I should have looked more closely at the viewing screen size , problem is it looks nice in the photo in it's red & black colour . Poor quality, not recommended
The quality of the lens was so poor that we were unable to distinguish facial features and background definition was not good. As it had been bought to facilitate a trip down 'memory lane' it was useless, so we returned it. Rubbish product - can definately not recommend
After the delayed arrival to find the product didnt initially work when batteries in and slide depressed. Took apart and found bulb had barely been screwed in. OK, but...
I purchased this to give me a quick visual check of my slides before I commit them to the lengthy process of scanning them in HQ. For this purpose the viewer is barely adequate. it is a cheap Chinese product made of brittle plastic and already, on day one of use, the little lug that retains the lens mount to the main body has snapped off. The lens is now being held in place by a strip of sticky tape. Of more concern is the lens, which severely distorts the image. I'm surprised that Hama proudly boast it has passed their quality control check. Give this product a wide berth.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The purpose of buying this viewer was to look at and go through dozens of slides that I am cataloging. The image is a bit distorted but its fit for purpose and does do the job. Could have done better....

I wanted this item to scan through a slide collection, in order to discard many of them. This viewer was cheap and adequate for my purpose.
