Great lens, just a little hard to Manual Focus
I bought this lens for multiple reasons, I like city scapes, lakes, mountains etc. and especially for astro-photography shots where I could get a longer exposure and wider field. The problem for me is that, there are NO markings on the focus ring! It is more of an electronic focus inside the lens so, it's VERY difficult to find an "infinity" spot to get milky way shots. The focus ring doesn't have a beginning and an end, it spins around and around with the focus area "somewhere" in the middle. It works well in automatic focus and when it finds the "sweet spot", you can turn the ring and will not effect the focus. Other than that, which is sort of a big deal for me, I do like the lens, at 10mm it gets the whole room and is a nice wide and sharp image for the money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Close up and sharp
I have not used the lense yet for the purposes I purchased it for but I have captured a stunning sunrise, like never before. When I photographe a car/truck for some one I don't have to back up to the next county to get all of the vehicle in the picture. I would recommend this lense to anyone that sells large items and need a great close up of the item. Great Lens, great price
I had been considering this lens for quite a while. I do a lot of class reunion pictures and some time I have to work in close quarters to get the group shots everyone wants. I had been using a 28-200 mm Tamron lens which did not give the width I need in these kinds of situations. The Canon 10-18 mm lens is perfect for me. every lens kit needs one
This is an amazingly sharp lens. it allows for a wonderful wide angle view both indoors and out. It is especially helpful when trying to take pictures of rooms in houses...or of wide open spaces. i use it with a Canon 70d crop sensor and it allows me to see much more than would otherwise be possible.
