Great product that belies it's small price...
This charger has a neat feature that many others don't. If you have a power cut, it automatically resumes charging in the same mode when power is restored. Most chargers need to to manually restart them. A minor thing, but if you leave a car on charge then go on holiday, and have a power cut, you return to a flat battery car, this charger avoids that! Well designed too in that the whole display shows a red glow when charging, and turns green when all done. The digital display also shows the voltage and stage of charge. If you have more than one car, using the 'fly lead' permanently attached to the battery is handy, and although 'Maypole' don't sell them separately, you can buy additional generic leads on Ebay that fit a treat.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

So Glad I Bought This!
I needed a maintenance battery charger for my Audi RS4 which has a 12V 110Ah 920CCA battery - in other words one heck of a monster battery. This vehicle is my 'weekend car' and I only use it occasionally and on fair weather days. Because of this the battery would go flat when the car was unused for 3 weeks or so. Although the packaging indicates that this charger is only for vehicles up to 2500cc it works very well as a maintenance battery charger for my 4200cc vehicle. I set it up in my garage nicely out of the way so I could easily just connect it up to the vehicle when it is not in use and just as easily disconnect it when I want to go for a drive. It charged the mentioned semi-flat battery in 1 day and then started its trickle/ maintenance/ pulse charging after that just to keep it tip-top. I spent a few days researching battery chargers and for the quality, price and features this battery charger brings it is the best one all around! Best little charger I have used!
I have been unlucky with battery chargers, but not this one! I am an 81 yr old lady, very active. I need a charger, especially for keeping my electric fencing batteries charged for my horses and also from time to time for my car.But it does need to be straightforward! No probs, at all with this one, from any point of view. does what it does
i had a duff battery on my car and this confirmed it . new battery and on trickle charge because my car is an old sports car that gets too little use. It seems to be keeping the battery in good order at a tight 13.6 volts. It doesn't get hot so i'm confident leaving it turned on all the time. The harness that comes with is also made for a permanent connect to your car and unplugs in a second. Im involved with vehicles in storage, before these chargers maintained the batteries there would be two or three new batteries a year.
