lightweight cutter and great value
had an old plasplugs cutter for 10+years until it failed, the new one is an improvement in cutting and its guide rail but it doesn't drain the water away as well. great value should have changed model sooner

Easy to use and great value.
I've never used any kind of disc cutter before so I was nervous about using this, but I found it easy to use and perfect for the project. The plastic is solid and the deep channels keep most of the mess contained in the machine. It is not excessively noisy in use and the plastic guard stops it splashing all over you. The plastic guide is a bit fiddly as it sticks when you try to move it and it's difficult to get parallel to the cutter for larger tiles ( tip: if the tile sticks towards the end of the cut release the lock on the guide to loosen it). My project used 33cm by 10mm thick ceramic tiles and it coped easily with that. I'm very pleased with the results.

A great tile cutter for the price...
As the saying goes, 'it does what it says on the tin'. The motor is quiet and the supplied disc cut my 8mm ceramic floor tiles with ease. A good touch is that you can't overfill the water bath because any excess water runs out of a convenient hole. As with any tile cutter, prepare to get slightly damp when using it, but the splash guard does a reasonable job of keeping most of the water where it should be! The only fly in the ointment was that the plastic splash guard was cracked, probably due to a bit of rough handling somewhere between the factory and my doorstep. However, it wasn't broken and is still perfectly usable 'as-is'. All in all, quite happy with my purchase.

Tile cutter
I have not used this tile cutter yet as I’ve not been in a fit state to put it together and use it as I’m disabled and can do things when I’m mentally and physically in the right state of control and competence. From what I can see this tool is very well made and easy to put together and looks very easy to use. I was very surprised to see that tiles can be cut on angles not only width and length ways but their thickness as well. I’m not sure what this feature is for unless it’s to do angles such as floor to wall. I can’t wait to use it and learn more about its features. Definitely worth the money as I don’t really see what more a more expensive cutter can do.

Cut the slate
Easily able to cut slate tiles 12 to 14mm thick. Limited with the table not being big enough to handle large slates say 60 x 40mm. Considering its cost i was very pleased with its performance and the blade is still good after some 60 cuts. Overall good value for money, but it is not a professional tile cutter for every day use.
