Disappointed
We bought this book as we wanted an alternative to motorway services on our travels. However our first use of the book resulted in us arriving at a place recommended in the book along the A12 on a Friday lunchtime. We got out of our car and went in only to be greeted by a rather nice lady who said "Have you booked? We get very busy so booking is advisable". So we had to find somewhere else. Now the point of motorway services is that you don't have to book. we didn't know what time were going to get to the establishment and feel the whole point of turning up at any time is the whole point. Looking at and passing some of the other options in the A12 area we feel that we would have been similar. We did however find a very nice pub further along the road that served excellent food without booking. This was not in the book.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
