Notes2015 release, the highly anticipated third full length album from the much loved Australian band. Currents is the follow up to 2012's Lonerism. Kevin Parker, the musician behind Tame Impala, explained that Currents is about the process of personal transformation. He said, "It follows the progression of someone feeling like they are becoming something else. They're becoming the kind of person they thought they'd never become." The cover art for Currents was created by Kentucky-based artist and musician Robert Beatty. Parker has said Currents' designs are based on a diagram of vortex shedding he remembered while trying to visualize the album's themes. Includes the single 'Let It Happen'.

my opinion on tame impala currents album
This cd is in my opinion is Tame Impala best album they've come out with. Iv listen to them since the start and this is probably the best sounding, quality wise. Such a well put together album. I never really get tired of listening to it. The songs from start to finish will keep you listening to it. The music almost has a dreamy feel to it. Like something you may here in a Sundance film movie. It something of a old 60's - 70's sound but more of a Tame Impala feel then a Beatles feel/sound. If you love music and need something new/different/great this would be the album to pick up. I hope that you can enjoy it as much as I have and still do.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Deep electronica and you can dance to it.
I found this remarkable musician on YouTube and I haven't regretted a moment of it. I play "Let It Happen" every day, sometimes twice. The song energizes me and astonishes me with every playing. Having grown up on Keith Emerson, I am disposed to synths. Kevin Parker is a supremely talented man. Each song is worth repeated listening.
