Does the job well
With not having to buy many thermal pads before, i was quite concerned these may not perform well. Phobia are usually the recommended pads for GPU's and considering i was replacing pads for a Radeon HD 5970 my concern was well warranted. After trying to find reviews for this product fairly unsuccessfully, i did find reviews for Gelids thermal PASTES (which rank top of the non liquid metal ranks) so decided to take the plunge as this is cheaper than the phobia solution. I cannot compare this product to others but i can say my over heating problems have been solved. On air/original stock cooler my VDDC temps do not exceed 80 degrees. My pc now boots 100% of the time as opposed to it rarely booting successfully and most certainly not being able to play games. I can now play for hours on end with no overheating issues. This is all even after not applying the pads correctly. I wrongly removed the blue protective film first which made my life difficult when removing the thicker transparent film when the pads were in place. They kept lifting up and tearing. Don't make the same mistake! Remove the thick transparent film first, place your pads, then remove the blue film. Then your results should be better still. To conclude: I would highly recommend this product, if it can transfer heat successfully from a HD 5970 it is up to the task for almost any heat transfer job! 5* rating from me!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

5degC improvement in cooling a passive Raspberry Pi4 case!
The GELID 1mm 12W/m.K thermal pad reduced Pi4 temperatures by 5degC, during “stressberry” 4 core stress testing (5min/1hr). See attached images. 5min stress test Stock blue thermal pad 61degC GELID grey thermal pad 55degC 6degC cooler 1hr stress test Stock blue thermal pad 68degC GELID grey thermal pad 63degC 5degC cooler Great outcome with significant 5degC improvement over the stock case thermal pads (3). 95% of the supplied thermal pad remains unused, for other applications. Other info... Max case surface temperature measured 51.2degC (hot but not a danger) for the 63degC cpu temperature (1hr stress test with GELID), air temperature around 22degC. Excellent thermal pad for heat transfer.
Fantastic product. Be sure to remove plastic film on both sides of the pad before placing on chips. Remove the plastic with printed logo first. Used to replace thermal pads in 6yr old PS4 Pro. Temperature and fan speeds now at manageable levels.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great pad for the ps4
I got this to chance out my ps4 thermal pads as my ps4 was getting to loud when turned on for 10min my ps4 hits a loud 60/67db after applying the new pads my ps4 is now 30/32db after 10min after 8 hour 40/41db so it help the old ps4 big time the temperature before 62c after 10 min and after it was down to 27c after 10min so big time changeVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
