    A Great Choice.

    I've used cheaper USB hubs and had problems. It has been definitely worth spending a little extra money on this item. So far it is working seamlessly and functioning well with all USB inputs driven continually. It also has a good build quality.

    Unusable, poorly designed cable connector

    Constantly drops offline due to poor contact between the USB cable and the PC. Tried using a replacement cable to the one supplied with the unit, but has the same problem, The connector on the unit is poorly designed / faulty. Device is unusable.

    Gerat USB Hub

    As soon as you take this USB hub out of its box, you realise you are holding a quality piece of kit. It has a nice feel to it. Plug it in, and it just works. If you plug a phone into one of the three heavy-duty ports, you get a good charge rate. I've done data transfer tests from a very fast PC to USB hard drives via this, and get excellent transfer rates. Speed is limited by the hard drives in question, not the USB hub. The only trouble I've had is with below-par USB 3.0 cables. Swapping them out for shorter, quality cables solved that. The supplied USB 3.0 cable was one metre long, which was too short for my needs. I bought a good-quality two-metre one, and had no problems with that. All in all, this is a great hub, and I'm very pleased with it. I only paid £20 for a "refurbished" one, but it looks like new, so for me, it was great value too.

    So much better than the cheap units

    There are a million USB hubs out there, and I've probably tried most of them. I bought this to overcome some intermittent drops on my USB hub - and it worked. The build quality is very good indeed, which reflects the higher price you pay for this unit. Well worth it. It has solved a lot of headaches.

    Reliable, does what it promises

The three charge usb sockets is great as with other hubs could charge my garmin sat nav at same time as receiving updates.
