zing went the adagio strings.
I have been using Adagio strings for several years now. I use them on both acoustic and electric guitars and they are excellent re tonally and longevity. I find they are great value and up there with the more famous type regarding quality and have. a great silky feel that lasts. I won't use anything else now. Try them. You wont be disappointed. Nice bright strings at a great price.
Firstly they are quarter the price of the elixirs (don't be fooled by the £5 a set elixirs that are around,they are cheap and nasty strings in nice packaging) that I have been using for many years, which have become so expensive that I have not been changing them as often as I should, even though they do stay bright for ages a year+ is pushing it a bit! I have tried various brands of coated strings over the years but they all started off a bit dull-rather like elixir polyweb, then deteriorated from there. These sound bright and zingy like nanoweb or uncoated strings and though they have only been on a couple of weeks they still sound great, only time can tell if they match elixirs on longevity, but at the price I'll be happy to change them a bit more often. If you like the brightness of nanowebs I would certainly recommend you give these a shot, I hope they will start doing these in phosphor bronze too as that is usually my first choice.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Lefties don't matter
These strings are super quality and looking forward to using them, also a great idea to include in the package a laminated handy sized chord and scale chart as an unexpected bonus however as I am a lefty it's sort of no good for me so I will pass it on, it seems left handers just have to accept they are the second class citizens of the guitar world, but thanks for the thoughtVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent value for durable, good quality strings, easy stretching and a good sound
I bought these to refurbish an old BM Spanish guitar. My initial plan was simply to make the old guitar serviceable, playable and suitable for a learner. I was delighted with the appearance of the strings, the ease with which I was able to stretch them and the quality of sound produced. The bass was rich and the treble end has a nice sharp and clear tone. The result was excellent, given that the guitar was not a high end instrument. I tried a Bach Sarabande and was surprised how well the strings performed. I would thoroughly recommend these as excellent value for money at very acceptable quality and performance. Good alternative

Why pay more ?
Having previously bought Adagio acoustic strings I thought I'd give the electric ones a try, and see whether they're cheap or decent quality. The good news is that they're the latter. Well made, well wound strings, plain ones are equally tidy with good tight ball end twists. They don't have a colouring sound either : not too zingy, so I would recommend them for taming single coil pickups. Was genuinely surprised how much difference they made to a 35 year old strat I have. As previously mentioned, they aren't as pingy as EB's or DD's when new, they're smoother, to my ears. I can't see why you wouldn't use these...
I can't see why people pay £10/15 for a set of strings. I play with many other people who cannot tell by playing or hearing my guitar, that my strings are different to theirs. Some of these people are highly accomplished musicians, (you'd know at least one of them, I'm sure). Would I stop using this company, (Advantage Guitar), or Adagio Strings? Really recomended👍Really fast. Got it next day by 1st class. 0.08 the string broke during tuning. Didn't exceed 390 Hz. Got it free replacement of 2 ! + lam.chords 👍 Now all good. Nice sound. You won't feel highly strung by the cost of these strings
Really good strings, which give a great melodic sound and appear to be strongly made. A set of light tension strings that are ideal for your 12 stringer as they help take a little pressure of the neck when tuned. I tend to tune down to DGCFAD (use a de capo up two frets if you need concert pitch) as this reduces tension further and helps greatly with the dreaded 'G' string snap that afflicks normal tensioned 12 string guitars.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
