You get what you pay for
Why use anything else but a proven battery used as OEM by Honda? It fits the bike perfectly and the bike started first prod of the button. Genuinely surprised to be able to get an identical replacement.
I needed a replacement battery for the dead one on my 4 year old Honda generator. I expected to have to buy a similar spec battery, but on searching for one, I was suitably impressed to find that an absolutely identical battery was available. As it was advertised as a Honda / Yuasa battery, it seemed logical to purchase it from a Honda dealer. Bought it from Padgetts in the evening, it was despatched the following day and arrived by courier the day after. It was packed in a Honda badged box and is identical in every way to the original on my generator. Fitted it and generator burst into life, job done - and at the best price available too! The best
I have found some pretty good replacement batteries at lower cost but nothing that can deliver any where near the cold cranking current of these batteries. My only dislike is that the nuts for the terminal bolts are not properly held and fall out or twist making it very difficult to fit the battery in a tight space. The solution I found was to wedge a rolled up piece of kitchen foil behind the nuts to keep them in place. Some use blue-tac but hey! Excellent battery :-)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

like all replacement motorcycle batteries it is important one buys the correct unit. my original choice was some £20 cheaper but on careful comparison it was not the same output rating. I therefore purchased the same make as sold with the bike. this has given me peace of mind that it will perform under all circumstances as the original once did. though a little pricey compared to others I feel it was worth paying the extra. My bike is a 2008 model and its original YUASA battery was starting to get a bit lack lustre.. Yes you can buy cheaper batteries but will they be lasting 10 or 11 years? So I bought a replacement original Yuasa battery as they are very well renowned for reliability and longevity.. 230 CCA is more than enough for my Honda CB1300 to start... Incidentally when I received the battery I put a tester on it and it rated at 259 CCA so its well above the advertised rating.. My original tired battery was down to 135 CCA and it still started my bike fine, but I wanted peace of mind as I have some decent long trips planned this year.
