Best I've used.
This CPU is probably the best I've used and it certainly lives up to all the hype its had. Installation is very easy and straightforward although installing the cooler is a bit fiddly. The fan is quiet enough and the LEDs are really nice but the most impressive thing is the speed of the processor. Along with an SSD and 16gb of ram everything seems to be running instantly. This processor is the best I have ever had the pleasure of using.
For context, the best CPU I have used before this massive upgrade was an FX 8350. This CPU is amazing and will handle basically anything you throw at it, within it's use-case of course. It performs absolutely amazingly in any modern workload, Photoshop, After Effects, Cinema 4D/Blender. It's absolutely amazing and runs like a dream. Keep in mind, if you plan to overclock, use something other than the included prism wraith cooler, as it runs at around 50C idle. But, keeping that in mind, it barely gets hotter than 70C. History may say this was the best ever RYZEN
There is something about the 3000 series RYZEN that sets it apart. It's the first one that's truly actually better than Intel's offering of the time. What's more they work in EVERY AM4 board unlike the 5000 series. This makes the 3700X the perfect no worries upgrade. Just make sure you have updated the BIOS in a very old board before you pop it in. The 5600X RYZEN can beat this due to it's clock speed and IPC and can produce higher FPS in some games for those reasons. However the 3700X is pretty decent and with the two extra cores can produce smoother results which is what really counts.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great, fast CPU..
This was an upgrade from a 1700 Ryzen.. Runs really fast and cool, around 34c idle and 60c when really pushed.. I have left as it is with no OC.. Been using AMD for years and never had a problem.. One thing I will say is don't use on an X370 motherboard as it was not enough to keep it stable. It is a true workhorse - stable and reliable. Of all AMD Ryzen series cpus , the Ryzen 7 3700/3800x is my favorite. I was nervous when buying CPU on ebay second hand just because I don't know what I'm gonna receive but cpu seem to look fine all the pins were fine and the cooler was cleaned but did it work?
