Nextbase Series 2 Dashcam Hardwired wiring Kit.
Excellent quality power source for the Nextbase Dash Cam Series 2 range of cameras. It is easily hard wired into your cars cabin fuse box. Just choosing a live fuse when the ignition is switched on.(10 amps upwards) and removing that fuse and inserting one of the "piggy back" adapters provided. This retains the original fused cars circuitry and provides an ignition switched supply via the 2amp fuse lead adapter. Although not mentioned, this Kit is compatible with the Series 1 Nextbase cameras,(212,312GW,412GW and 512GW.. The reason is that this supply provides more power availability to the Series 2 cameras, to power the rear facing camera should one be fitted. This is my finding and I have had this confirmed by Nextbase customer base.When powered this supply has a small blue led that glows and pulses when it is powered without the camera attached and glows constant when the camera is powered and functioning correctly. Nextbase II hardwire kit
Goog quality looking hardwiring which I used to install a 622GW front and rear cameras in a 2023 Kia ProCeed shooting brake. I had the whole installed in less than an hour and just had to plug into the fuse box at the lower driver's side. I chose to use the central locking 20A fuse as it has a constant voltage to use with the parking feature. However.... The piggyback mini fuse doesn't fit! It was either too big, the wrong shape or having a bad day. I even tried fitting in other slots but to no avail. My only option was to buy another piggyback fuse kit off Amazon, waited a day for it to arrive and it worked perfectly and slotted into the fuse panel first try. There are similar hardwire kits available on ebay and amazon for half the price of the official Nextbase kit, and I would have expected much better quality.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Superb item for the NextBase dash cam.
In my eyes this is a must have item. it's so easy to install using the instructions given. A quick look on YouTube helps you find your fuse box and which fuse is best to use. I fitted mine on a permanent live and I've had no problems with the battery. Unless someone is constantly banging your car and the cam has to keep turning on (parking mode) to record it, I can never see it running your battery down. In fact, it knows when your battery is running low and switches the parking mode off! As for the price, yes there are cheaper (not genuine) ones out there but you get what you pay for! Includes everything you need to hardwire but why Series 2?
Everything needed to hardwire - very easy to install. One answer I couldn't find anywhere however was what's the difference between a Series 2 and Series 1 wiring kit? I had to contact Nextbase - their answer may help someone else: The difference between Series 1 and series 2 is different power outputs. You can use a series 1 kit to install any NextBase dashcam. Some of the new range (from 322GW up) have the ability to attach a rear dashcam therefore if you intend to use this 2nd camera facility, you'll need a Series 2 kit (a Series 1 kit won't be able to produce enough power to run both). Nextbase Hardwire Kit dose the job and works ok.
The kit was easy to fit worked first time. The only thing to be aware of is, if you fit it to a llate model Ford (Focus) 2019 you will need to get a differen power supply piggy back fuse as the ones in the kit are too big to fit in the fuse box. no problem if you are handy with wiring.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fit for purpose and good value.
Easy enough to fit if you follow the instructions and perhaps look at YouTube videos. Very long lead, not required in my case but possibly good for some. Only gripe is that the spade connector on the negative wire is on the small side as it assumes that you can secure it under a self tapper but in my case, MK 8 Golf, I had to use a convenient predrilled hole and a smallish, self supplied, nut and bolt. Genuine manufacturers product- I found the power leads to the power adapter part a little short as my fuse box for all auxiliary electrics is in the boot. Easily extended though. The 5v side from the power adapter has plenty of cable to hide behind it pillar & roof trims. Being the official adapter means the mini usb plug is also not too chunky to fit within the charging socket recess of many next base dash cam brackets. Overall . Not Universal
Bought this to fit a nextbase 322GW to my car. All was well until I came to connect to the fuse box. Two ‘piggy back’ fuse carriers were supplied, neither of which fitted to the fuses in my car (which I now know to be micro2 fuses). Contacted nextbase who say they will send a correct fuse (Not clear if they mean the piggy back connection AND a fuse!)....but not until their warehouse is back after Covid Lockdown. This seems to be a good quality kit but do be aware that it isn’t universal....Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
