  • A must for any budding producer.

This was the last of the volcas I have bought ( so far..... considering the FM and the Sampler ). Took me back to my youth. These are very easy to dial in basslines and bleeps. Nice and low. Particularly suited to house / dance / 80s electronic type music. Works wonderfully with the other volcas in this range. They are of almost uniformed size, so the taylor made stands also on eBay really help. Make sure you get the correct cables and a PSU. They run on batteries too, but seems to have more power on mains. Very affordable considering alternatives in this field. In fact, they are a stand alone niche range and because it's made by KORG, you have the quality and reliability too. Very happy. ( also have 'drums' 'kick' 'keys' and 'mixer' )

  • Compact but powerful analogue synth

Can’t really say anything bad ab out this little box considering the price. The synth engine produces nice deep bass tones, and the filters enable some nice squelch and beeps. The sequencer is pretty easy to use, and the overall build quality is not bad. The on board speaker is naff, but the box sounds great through headphones, and I run mine through a mixer with built in effects which really beef the sound up. I’m only just learning to use it, but after only a week I’ve figured most of it out and it’s really good fun. I’ve just bought a 303 clone which I’ll sync with the volca using the midi port, so hopefully I’ll be making some dark and twisted acid choon very soon. Highly recommended. A nice bonus is it can run on batteries, so with some decent headphones, it’s truly portable. Thumbs up from me 👍🏼

  • Great sounding little synth, with limited parameters but correctly chosen!

Although not fully spec'ed pieces of Kit, (e.g. number parameter knobs, connectivity etc), the Korg Volca range are superb value for money and worth adding to most set ups to give some quick/easy sounds. I have 3 of the range & the Bass is probably the best the way I use them - as sound modules triggered over Midi from my main sequencer. This means I don't get to use all the cool stuff you can do with the motion sequencer etc most of the time, but the Bass particular brings a little something with its sound - though I really like the Volca FM for that as well. For beginners the Volca range would be a good way to start out, get some immediate results and learn what you do/don't like before going on to more expensive equipment. For this price, a no brainer.

  • Volca Bass

Absolutely love this little bass beast. I can’t believe I was so late to the party, but hey so glad I eventually made it. I used to look upon the Volcas with little regard, however these little units certainly can pack a punch : especially the Volca Bass

  • Korg Volca Bundle

Individually, all three Volcas match up to the very fine reviews they justifiably received. The performance for the size of the units is incredible. Demonstrations on YouTube make it very easy to get the best from them.
