I use this for making cinder toffee, and it's the perfect bicarb! I didn't buy this as an ice product, but a weed killer! I was reliably informed by a landscape gardener that Rock Salt is perfect for controlling weeds on block paving, so thought I'd give it a try on my drive. WOW, after almost 24 hours my driveway weeds were showing signs of not being too well, and following some rain to dissolve the salt they were dead! It's now been over a month, and in weed growing season, there's none in sight. This is genuinely salt, and no added grit which I was concerned about for my purpose use.
