Surprising in 2017!
My top-end AM3+ mobo caught on fire a few weeks ago (seriously - fire!). I didn't want to scrap the machine cuz it had 32Gig RAM. I ended up replacing the mobo, CPU and cooler (it was liquid cooler failure that started it all). So I found this NEW mobo for a great price. Didn't expect all that much. What I ended up finding out that even tho it says 970 in the name, it's actually a 990FX chipset - same as my previous top-end mobo. It didn't have all the features my previous board had (like eSATA which I love), but all in all a very good deal for what should be a dead and buried product line. Most amazing to me was the BIOS being dated May 2017 - for an AM3+ design? Wow! AM3+ lives eternal it seems.

Good board for the money
Easy install, ran as expected, easy to understand bios interface & made my PC move up from a rating of 7.1 to a 8.3 on the windows experience index. Lots of USB ports on the back. Nothing bad to say so far.

I just got this pair with my fx8350 and 12gb of ram is very fast compare too my old setup so far not a problem so I really recomend this for a regular gamer not for a high end gaming tho.
