Best Cast Iron pot I evere got!
First cook in bonfire was excellent! Non stick,solid, heavy and good sized,I managed to cook for 4 persons, easy and quick wash! Handle is very good practical made, three little legs on the bottom gives really easy turning on the side of the fire, absolutely love it! Is gonna to be my best friend on my camp! A great Dutch Oven!
I took it camping and cooked with it for three days. First of all I placed the oven on top of a barbecue grill; by the second day I had the confidence to use the oven directly on hot coals / logs. I am convinced that a good seasoning with oil to protect the cast iron at home prior to camping ensured that the oven was protected sufficiently. Furthermore, after three days of intense heat and cooking I seasoned it again before putting it into storage until the next time I go camping. The best maker of cast iron dutch ovens around. Food never tasted as good over the fire.
Cooking on a camp fire is a totally new experience and food will never taste the same. Make sure you season the pot properly by baking it in the oven with fat smeared over it. Look after it and it will last forever. Learn the trick to getting your fire just right for cooking and using lots of hot coals on top too. Things like stews, chilli's are obvious easy and great meals but I encourage everyone to try roasting a chicken or even baking bread in one. Look up some recipes and have fun making delicious food.
