Good concept with a few flaws
This radio has been updated since I bought the original version years ago. The first version was half chinese and half english, so it was difficult to use. The new version is fully translated into English - finally they came to there senses. The display is large and backlit. It shows all the parameters the radio is set for and status information. It uses a nokia cellphone battery that is user replaceable. When connected to a computer it also acts as a amplified speaker and external storage. Frequencies can be directly entered or scanned for. It records to a TF card from on-air and microphone. It can playback both files it has recorded and others that you have copied to the microsd card. You can't delete files that you have copied yourself from the radio - you must connect to a computer to do it. The fast forward and reverse functions are poorly implemented and useless for advancing through long recordings. This radio has some excellent features that few others in its price range have. If you're looking for a compact radio that has digital recording and playback from TF card at a reasonable price then this one is unbeatable.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Extraordinary Cool Little Radio/Recorder
There's a learning curve to get to know the functions and its particular quirks, yet it is well designed and very useful. The sound quality for the small size of the speaker is surprising. The music has depth and good character as a pleasure to hear. There are many features to work with, especially the recorder. As a musician I can use this device to record radio music to study, practice, and jam with. Also, I can do field recording for sound sampling, and record sessions to get the basic idea down of the music piece. It's very solid and rugged. Charging it up is very easy and in reasonable time. Controls are laid out in a way that in very low light, you can still remember and work the buttons without really having to see the printed tags.
