Good product, with one single quirk.
I have bought products from JJC previously (interval timer for Sony, both old type remote and multiterminal). They have functioned well and I have been satisfied. This product (JJC SR-F2 cable remote for Sony multiterminal) is also working well in my hands. It seems to be a close copy of the original Sony remote, contrary to the Fotga remote which is a simpler build. I have tested the JJC on a7r and a77ii cameras. It works as expected on a7r. On a77ii, with the JJC connected, the live view turns off when the camera wants to go asleep. But then it turns on again immediately without any button touched. This results in a waste of camera battery capacity. But otherwise, top product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to use, but with alot of failures!
Its easy to use...And thats about it. The zoom buttons only work correct while zooming in, zooming out is another story!! It keeps locking the zoom and stops it from going wide + when you switch the camera off, and want to turn it on again, you have to disconect the cable, and then manually turn it on, on the camera power switch and the reattatch the remote cable, dispite it having the power button on the remote! A remote control that is an asset to anyones camera bag.
Bought this as an aid to using my Sony CX450 video camera. Basically helps not having to reach over the camera to start and stop it. Is it good value, yes for the money I think it is. Does it feel like a quality product... hmmm the controller feels a bit too plasticy for my liking, but considering where t will get used, its unlikely to have a difficult life. The cable(s) that come with it I would have liked an extra 20-30cm, but at this price point it's not a major gripe. Superb remote,powers on and off,good control of zoom on the camera,with light pressure zooms slowly,more pressure to activate faster zoom. Controls autofocus and shutter for stills photography,plus,push and hold for long exposure. One other big plus feature not found on other controllers,is the grid lines, giving a helping hand,if required,for composing your shots. All in all,a treat for the price. Brilliant controller, excellent value for money.
Always like to have a LANC controller of some kind on all my Sony/ Canon cameras. Sony left off the normal 3.5 m/m lanc socket, but this controller fits the multi socket on My FDR-AX33, I especially like the option of having a grid on my LCD screen.
