OK, but not as good as original Binatone 1900 phones
Just still OK, it works, but cheapened in this later model, so only 3-stars. Gone is the LCD backlight. Gone is the handsfree button, replaced with a useless redundant redail button (a function already provided by pressing the menu down key). Gone are 5 of the original 10 ring melodies, all the more complex+interesting tune melodies numbered 6-10 are missing, leaving just simple tone/warble varients. Lastly, gone is the option for the base station to use old style slow pulse dialing, which would probably now only matter if using an ancient PBX. Also an annoying difference is the key tone beep, which is now a louder harsher beep than on the older models. This phone is all black plastic, instead of the white keypad-side and black back of my older phones. Same 5 redial memory, 10 incoming Caller-ID memory, and 20-number phonebook. Still has dual LCDs, one on the back of the handset, one with the keypad side, but now missing the nice 10-second backlight for the keypad LCD whenever a key is pressed.
