Hardware works fine - software/firmware is buggy.
I bought this unbranded model to take a chance on a potential value for my need as a wireless repeating station to extend the Wi-Fi coverage within my house. The hardware seems to function perfectly. However, the software/firmware setup interface is very buggy. It took me over 3 hours to get the device setup properly to work properly due to the setup interface freezing up, not responding, or not loading properly (I tried many different browsers and had same types of issues). If you are a technically inclined person, like I am, and you're willing to put up with the setup interface bugs to save some cash, then this device will work for you. If you're an average user, the setup process will cause you frustration. If the setup interface bugs were to be completely fixed, I'd totally recommend this product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Piece of garbage! WPS doesn't work. Crappy network cable didn't work. The thing bricked itself during setup.
Worthless piece of garbage don't waste money on this it's beyond useless. WPS function does not work, bricked itself on setup wizard and won't connect to router. After "setup" can't connect to default ip address. Had to reset the item to regain access. After reset and reconnecting it still won't establish a connection with my router. hard to set up
This item works as described and has a lot of functionality for the money. That said it is not easy to set up. Mainly because the instructions aren't very good. In addition to being poorly written, the print is very, very small making it difficult to read. It’s not what it was described
I bought three of them at the same time, I tested them and I was only able to get about up to 8 Mbps and distance was right close to my router that was 35 Mbps. It shows that it can reach 170m but did not. At 70m it was already showing just about up to 2Mbps. Works as advertised
The DSL modem / WiFi router is located in one end upstairs of my 2-story town house, and the signal is too weak to be useful downstairs at the other end, which happens to be the room where I need it most. I installed this device as a WiFi repeater downstairs near the other end of the house and now I get full 5-bar strength shown on the iPhone. It really provides a big range, but walls can really reduce it significantly. The furthest room from my modem is about 20m and 3 thick walls away. We had to place the repeater in the top of a wall on an aisle for the signal to reach last room. The solution for TV streaming.
This little and inexpensive device fixed my problems very well. Only took 5 minutes to program it and plug it in! My live TV streaming stopped stuttering and freezing. I use it as a repeater for my wi-fi and put between my cable router and the TV. No wires to run and it was working in an instant. There is one problem however.
