It Doesn’t Move!
I’ve had a nightmare with every suction type phone holder in my Volvo V50. They all stick great for a few days, then spring off when I’m driving. I attach my phone holders on the dashboard which has a slight curve to it, but when it gets really hot under the sun the sticky cup must expand and lose its grip. Nothing seemed to work to make it stick for more than a few days so I needed something else. Having done some research, one of these weighted ‘Bean bag’ type holders seemed to get good reviews so I decided to make a punt on £13 to see what happened. It literally hugs my dashboard and the phone holder hasn’t lost its suction on the plastic disc installed in the centre. It doesn’t move or slide on cornering and leaves me in no doubt of its ability to do the job. It’s not the most aesthetically looking item, but who cares? It’s better to have a weird looking mass on the dash than watch your phone fall off every 5 minutes.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not the cheapest but the best.
I have tried cheaper dashboard mounts and found them a waste of money but this one is well worth the extra. It has a great non slip base material but it is not sticky, and the mount will mold to just about any shape of dash top.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Slips & slides

This item truly does work! Having tried various ways of keeping my phone/sat nav in place on my dashboard in my volvo (which has a particulalry slippery surface), at least I have found something that WORKS! Since Putting my Friction Beanbag on the dashboard, it has not moved! The mount sticks very well do the mounting plate, and my phone can be positioned exactly where I need it.
