Electronic bagpipes
I've always wanted to try electric bagpipes after being a piper for many years. This unit is just plain fun to use, took very effort little to get used to it, and I love that I can now practice in silence with headphones, or play through the small built in speaker with others and also through an amplifier if I want as well! It can be tuned to other tunings easily which is great for playing with a group. It's sound is notably digital sounding but that's to be expected. Great product and can be played anywhere
I have played mine a good bit; the quality is good and it sounds good. I play it with a headset and as such I can play at home anytime I like. The fingering is good and it is easy to play; my right hand is injured and I find it easier to play these electronic pipes than my collection of chanters or GHBPs. Very cool instrument !!
Great fun and the learning curve is not that steep. I play bass, piano, and guitar but could never grasp the concept of woodwind or brass instruments. This neat instrument has opened up some pretty cool doors for me musically. It only takes one 9 volt battery. I do wish that there was a way to use a plug in adapter so I didn't have to go through so many 9 volts. As with learning anything new you must be patient. It's lightweight and quite comfortable to play. Programming what key you want to play in is simple. I actually prefer the knob volume over push button volume. Gives you more control. I plugged it into an effects unit and then into an amp and got some really awesome results. Delay with some phaser, chorus, flange, etc. is really fun. Adds hours of quality practice!
I live in a studio apartment so playing a regular practice chanter is difficult because of the noise. In order to be more courteous to my neighbors, I purchased this and I recommend it highly. The sound is very good and so is the volume control. I can plug in my headphones and play at all hours of the day, and I don't have to worry about bothering anybody. Learning to play pipes
The Ross pipe is very good for me because Ive lost a lot of feeling in my fingers and have great difficulty feeling and covering the chanter holes. I was about to give up learning the pipes. I don’t have that problem with the sensors on the Ross pipes. Im very happy and satisfied with this electronic pipe!
