A fantastic "digger" that really conserves energy so it does the work for you.

I just wanted to let you know, according to this I've dug over a ton of soil today. How much does a yard 3 of topsoil weigh? A cubic yard of typical topsoil weighs about 2700 pounds or 1.35 tons. A square yard of a garden with a depth of 1 foot (30.48 cm) weighs about 900 pounds (410 kg) or slightly less than half a ton. The water content of the soil is assumed to be that of a moderately damp (e.g. freshly dug). The main weeds are out though - those nettles and bindweed are such a nightmare! I used my new tool - the Kikka Digga today. I have to say, given that I've dug over a ton it speaks volumes that it has paid for itself in one day. Brilliant - I'd never have been able to do that using just a conventional fork as my arthritis would have been too bad. I've not choice in lockdown though - so what a blessing this is! Thank you so much - I'm looking forward to the veggies I will get out of this bed!

Great Idea But not Quite The Dogs Nuts.

Firstly, it would not fit on my Bulldog digging fork, but did fit my Wilko stainless spade. Secondly, I had to keep stopping to re-fit the hinge like attachment, which is rather tiresome. Once attached it certainly works, and it’s a great idea but not quite the dog’s nuts. That said the kikka Digga is a snip at twenty five quid, and it does function. But it’s not as good as an automatic spade such as the Wolf Terrex and it’s modern copy. So to sum up, it’s cheap and it’s well made, therefore great value for money, but it doesn’t fit all forks or spades and it does have an annoying habit of coming off every row you dig. I am going to drill a hole in the socket, so that the bolt is captive. I think this modification will solve the slipping issue. For £25 + delivery you can easily afford to give it a try, and the price is over a quarter of an automatic spade.

  • Fantastic

What can I say only that it's fantastic easy to use ( when you get the hang of it. Much easy for me as I'm 71 now and love my allotment, also it's made in England, great a must buy,I have lost my one to my son so have bought another, yes so so pleased it was worth it. Even now in the hot weather over allotment it works so well. Will take photos later

  • Powerful digging using less energy at a good price. Win, win, win.

I've now used the Kikka Digga on several different patches of allotment and different types of soil. It has made digging easier in pretty much every respect. Cleaning soil off it afterwards is the only minor addition of time but everything else is time saved with less energy used. You do have to learn the technique and be willing to adapt, but that's a tiny price to pay for the benefits. A real move forward in digging for not a lot of cost. Well worth it, and very easy on the back.

  • Lightweight well produced tool.

I found it takes the hard work out of digging my plot, and easy to use. It wont fit every garden spade or fork due to the shoulders on the implement. It would not fit my fork but fitted my spade perfect.

  • Kikka Digga

I was a bit wary when I ordered this, but I have to say it works extremely well, great for lifting small plants and it's well designed and durable, it would be useful if it fitted larger garden forks though, as shaft on my larger fork is too wide so have to use a ladies fork with it.

  • Easy to use and fit.

East to fit and affordable gadget, to fit to a Fork or Spade, to make digging much easier and reduce backache. This is the second one I have purchased, as the first one was taken form my shed on the Allotment.

  • Great Tool add-on

Great tool, but wish they used a harder, better material. Mine got bent day one! Going cheap on that will be it's downfall.
