The world's first variable optical low-pass filter allows users to control the amount of filtration they need for each specific image as they work, in order to maximize detail from the 42.4-megapixel sensor. The system uses a liquid crystal layer which it applies voltage to in order to control the light-splitting function. Users will have access to three settings: Off, Standard, and Hi. This unique ability allows the RX1R II to work in a variety of circumstances that normally would require separate cameras. Additionally, a low-pass filter bracketing function is available for users to quickly compare the differences between the different modes. Equipped with a fixed Zeiss Sonnar T* 35mm f/2 lens, the RX1R II can deliver sharp imagery with exceptional control over depth-of-field. The max.

  • RX1R m2 ... Amazing photo quality

I've had 3 Fuji x100. The RX1R M2 detail puts them to shame. Ups: Autofus good, ISO performance excellent to 6400, size great, quality and detail amazing at 42.4mp, cheap compared to Leica, good electronic viewfinder. Downs: battery life poor, speed needs to be higher than expected due to resolution, expensive compared to Fuji x100, not an optical viewfinder. Overall, if you can afford it, like using a fixed lens, then get it and you won't be disappointed.

  • Age is just number

If you know photography and the mantra of put the best lens in front of the biggest sensor you can afford,… and the camera that is most useful is the camera that is always with you. It equates to the XR1RII, yes it’s pricey, yes you get what you pay for. You won’t regret getting this camera if you do.
