Very Useful Piece of Kit
The Edison hdmi RF modulator is a semi-professional device that adapts any hdmi HD source to a DTV signal. I wanted to add Freeview HD, Internet movies, and a DVD player to my DViCO media player, for playout on single hdmi input tv. The DViCO only accepts DVB-T over coax, MPEG2 or MPEG4, which I use for SD Freeview. Connecting the hdmi sources to a splitter and then into the Edison adds a selectable UHF channel to the tuned tv channels. Configuration is straightforward, although it helps to be familiar with DTV terminology; the instruction manual is sparse, but YouTube videos are available that describe setup. The Edison worked perfectly out of the box. It is almost invisible in operation, with just a slight latency when changing menu items on the source. Overall it is an indispensable device that would have cost much more a few years back. Highly recommended.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
