Great inexpensive sound bar
Having recently bought a reasonably priced Smart Full HD 40" TV, I was delighted with the excellent picture but somewhat disappointed with the sound quality. However, having now purchased the 'Technika 40" sound bar', I can honestly say that I now have the sound quality I desired. It has very good sound quality along with four sound settings, ie Standard, News, Music and Movie. I would recommend this product as excellent value for the money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Stupid design fault......
As a cheapish sound bar, the sound quality isn't too bad (certainly better than the tinny sound from the TV speaker). But why oh why did they have to fit a blue LED light to show you where the remote receiver is located? This light is bright enough to light up the whole room - a major problem if, like me you buy it for a bedroom (the light is on permanently - even when the unit is in standby). You can't even get round it by sticking tape over the light because then the remote control won't work as it covers the receiver. A pointless and ill thought out piece of design - should try harder! The remote is also a pretty cheap and nasty piece of kit; quite temperamental if not pointed accurately at the receiver (perhaps that's the reason they fit a searchlight on the receiver?). The remote buttons feel cheap and nasty when you use them - remotes moved on from this a decade or more ago. Overall; the actual Soundbar is smart and seems well built, with very acceptable sound quality (for the money), but I can't recommend it because they seem to have given up half way through designing the product, and put it to market in an unfinished state.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Good sound from a budget soundbar...
Excellent value. This soundbar combines well with our tv. The only drawback from our point of view is because our tv is stand mounted, the soundbar when placed below the set, covers the remote tv 'eye'. It is planned however, to top-mount the soundbar, by the use of two inexpensive universal brackets from e-bay. This will also allow the speakers to face directly toward the viewer/listener, rather than facing upward, as they do presently. (An excellent dust trap!)Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
