Everyone should know this
I knew chlorine (used to purify our water supplies) and fluoride were bad for the thyroid gland. I didn't know how bad Bromine and Bromide were; nor how widespread they are in our environment; and I certainly didn't know the deleterious effect they have on our bodies' ability to absorb iodine. Neither did I know how very little iodine remains in our over-farmed soils, and consequently how little we get in our diet. I do now(!!!), thanks to this very informative book.
