Not very good PIR light, does not function as expected. Costly to run, in bulbs and power!
This item was installed to replace an older smaller PIR light but from almost from day one it did not work as expected. The light turns on then off but much sooner than I wanted it to, it then turns straight back on again and then off again. It will do this for as long as I let it, even if theres is no one in the Yard. So it is either a sensor problem or something else. I have adjusted the time and sense control, the light is set to come on only when it is dark, it has been coming on when it is dark but then it just gives a non stop light show, how long that has been going on I don't know as I am out working and come home when it is dark and the light is doing its on and off routine. So no, not a very good item, there are only three wires to connect, so nothing to get wrong! Also as a result of the non stop light show I am on my third or forth hallogen bulb in as many weeks, so this item is costing me a fortune in power and replacement bulbs. I would not recomend this item unless it has been tested working. The first time I got to test it was when it was first installed. There no moving trees or objects in our yard and if you leave alone and no one is outside it still turns on and off constantly even if left alone. I hope to get time to remove it at the weekend and pack it up and return it to the seller or take it down to the local dump for recycling. I am not impressed with this item, and it did not work for me! No, No, No! don't buy this item or test it throughtly before you install it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
