Alienware wanted $1300+ to replace the GPU in my 2012 Aurora R4 Desktop.
I know this is no where near the performance or quality of the Nvidia Dual GTX 590 card that died in my machine. (it is like the size of Hershey Bar compaired with carton of cigarettes.) But I don't play games - I just needed something to fix my computer and keep it alive for a little while longer. The GTX745 does everything it promised. Good performance at a fraction of the price. AND it drives THREE monitors (if you have HDMI, DVI and VGA outputs) IT is like a gift from the Gods of Saving Money! Thank You Thank You... I am running Linux Mint 20.3 and the card was plug and play. I had no issues and I was pleasing surprised. Nice quality picture and performs very well for everyday tasks. This Graphics card works great! I downloaded the driver then installed it after plugging in the new card. Runs 37C at idle 42C with videos and 75C when gaming. Have you replaced the thermal paste?
