Compact Point & Shoot
The small size of this Nikon makes it a great pocket camera. There is nothing small about the zoom and at 20X will allow you to capture distant subjects or get really close up to nearer subjects. It also has above average image quality for a camera of this class. Lots of good in camera effects such as sepia, HDR, and panorama. If you are looking for full manual control and DSLR image quality look elsewhere but for a fun, pocket, super zoom to take on vacation this is your camera.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

pretty good but...
This is easy to sure, light in weight and pretty nice. I thought I had done a great job of reviewing cameras and then when I take indoor photos, this is NOT that good. The photos are yellow due to lighting issues. Not sure if the flash doesn't extend or what the problem is but I am not as excited about it as I was before I got it! I must have never seen someone review the flash photo capabilities. Overall, I am not that happy with it due to that reason.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good general use camera
We purchased this camera when our Canon 35MM SLR went on the fritz. The camera is used. primarily for Ebay photos. This means we take many photos, including some very close-up pictures. The Nikon Coolpix is fine for the basic pictures. It is very easy to set to the desired pictured format and the auto format is great for most pictures. The close-ups. however, leave a little to be desired. Keep in mind that this camera did cost a fraction of the amount, which I dished out for my Canon. Slim camera
Well I have not had much of a chance to use it yet. I have been working a lot. It is easy to use. I didn't get a manuel for it so I am still trying to learn the different things about it. Better than new!
I am so happy with this camera!!! My previous one of exact same was given to me new, and this "used" one from ebay works better than my other one did when it was new! I put "used" in quotes about this camera because it seems like new ^_~! The picture is clear! Videos have good lighting even in indoor settings at night or dim light! Tends NOT to use the flash because the lighting it does is that good (my previous camera that was new of same used the flash more than this "used" camera does). It is much more responsive about taking pictures particularly in poorer lighting in comparison to my previous new camera of same kind. My previous camera would pause for a long time before taking a picture sometimes. Attached is snapshot of tiny writing it took a pic of. I took many pics since the bottle is round, but the camera gets the words clear! & another snapshot of the words even a little closer. To show video quality I have a "Print Screen" capture out of a video of a closeup. Please keep in mind I videoed this from a distance out in the audience! And it's video being that sharp - with awesome sound!

Great things in a small package
Love the size and capabilities. The memory card fits snug next to the battery. I haven't set up the wi-fi yet...still learning about all the features. Love the screen, brings out the bright, crisp colors. Takes great photos from a distance. Oh the things you can see!
This is my 2nd camera of this model. I had to have another one. It takes amazing photos from a distance. It is not so great with sport things and I wish the video were better, buI often I get some 'wow' photos. Good camera.
I use the CoolPix camera for work over the past few years. The take excellent photos and are very easy to use...alot of features for different settings, environments, etc. Like most electronics, they do not like being dropped and do not hold up to commerical work. Love this compact camera!
This is my third Nikon Coolpix S7000. The first one I bought new. The second I purchased used on ebay, and used the heck out of it till I dropped it. Just got my third, another used one on ebay, and I still love it. It has a 20x zoom which is awesome for such a compact camera. And, it can take video. Aaaaand, I can fit it in my pocket.
