Sony quality at a good price.
I bought this for a friend who needed a small camera to carry in his pocket. The camera is the usual high Sony quality producing very clear photos with little flare or exposure problems. The zoom is handy but could be longer, it works quickly and quietly with little fuss. The LCD screen is very clear considering the size of the camera. Naturally the operating buttons are small but careful operation means they are efficient and you soon get used to using them without problems. This sort of camera is bought for is easy use and its pocket-size makes it handy at all times. It is worth paying for the quality this camera gives not only is it photos but way it operates. All members of the family can use it with ease.

Simple to use for holidays and people pics and movies. Macro is no good.
Macro is hard to achieve. You cant use it very close up , like hallmarks or insects. It is describe by adverts that this has macro and I would say that this is not true. The close up it can manage, about 4 inches away from subject, will blur most of the time, unless you use a tripod. Its relatively easy to download pics for eBay selling. My mobile Samsung 3 has a magnifying mode where I can photo silver and gold hallmarks very clearly if I use a tripod. This is much better macro than this digital camera. The movie mode is fairly good. for Holiday snaps its not bad , Easier to use than a mobile.

Great features, very lightweight and so easy to use
Purchased this camera after reading lots of reviews, so glad I did. Not used a camera for a while, relied on the camera in my phone, however because of the price and the fact we were going on a special holiday decided to purchase this Sony. Wow what a great decision, just 2 days of holiday left and the photos so far are brilliant, its been sunny and rainy and I have taken photos in the car on the move, the camera stops all bounce and gives a fantastic picture almost all the time, but take a few and one will be great. So easy to use, long battery life cannot praise this little camera enough.

Snappy, portable and easy
This compact has good resolution, quite a fair amount of zoom and it's easy to use and easy to carry about. There's not many setting options but that's OK for what it, i,e, for making snapshots. Drawbacks - it's a bit slow. you take a pic and it seems quite a while before it processes it and shows you it , so you can't really take a series of quick snap shots. Of course, it's no where near as good as my SLR, but I can't get my SLR in my pocket!.

Back to the 1950s.
In the age of computer technology and the digital image, you would have thought any camera claiming to be 18 megapixels and costing over £44 would produce a decent, sharp images with good colours. This one does not: however you set it the results are truly awful and remind me of the sort of blurred, grainy photographs produced by cheap box cameras in the 1950s. It's of absolutely no use to me and will be going in the bin. Don't buy this product under any circumstances.
