An excellent hiking compass
A well made compass, with some nice features, like: Luminous where it needs to be; Magnifying lens; Three non-slip pads to stop it sliding around on your map; Declination (or Variation) scale; Three Romer scales; cm / mm ruler; Inch / 1/16" ruler. I think it cost me £18 with postage, light weight and great value. I'm just starting out learning how to use a compass and this is ideal. I've found loads of videos on YouTube on how to use. It's simple with the silva 3 step system. Definitely recommend for a first compass.
